Measure AI employee ROI from completed work—not model usage.

Tokens, minutes, and conversations are costs or activity measures. The economic question is whether the employee protects revenue, creates capacity, improves completion, or reduces avoidable operating work.

01

Choose the value mechanism

For reception, value may come from captured calls, booked appointments, and reduced missed demand. For support, it may come from routine resolution and reduced handle time. For operations, it may come from completed workflows and reduced manual touches.

02

Establish the baseline

Measure the current state before deployment: call abandonment, missed calls, booking rate, response delay, labor minutes, backlog, conversion, resolution, or another relevant metric. Without a baseline, ROI claims become guesswork.

03

Track completed outcomes

Separate attempts from completed work. A booking request is not the same as a booked appointment. A captured lead is not the same as a qualified opportunity. Define exactly what counts before the pilot starts.

04

Include human effort

Count the time still required for reviews, escalations, corrections, and administration. A workflow that creates large approval queues may simply move labor rather than remove it.

05

Include total operating cost

Include the Zeovoice plan, usage above allowances, telephony or third-party charges where applicable, implementation work, and internal administration. Compare that cost with measured value or capacity.

06

Expand only on proof

Start with one valuable job, run a controlled pilot, measure outcomes, inspect evidence, and expand the employee’s scope or add new employees only when the operating and economic case is clear.

TURN THE GUIDE INTO A DECISION

Define the employee before you deploy the employee.

Use Zeovoice to describe the job, review authority, test the workflow, and inspect evidence before production work begins.
